Information from the Hessian Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration on events, celebrations and meetings
meetings, trade shows, events and cultural activities, such as theatre, operas, cinemas and concerts, attended by more than 25 people are permitted if
- outdoors with more than 1,000 participants and in enclosed spaces, only persons with negative proof (vaccination, recovery or test proof) are present, a spacing and hygiene concept is in place and implemented, and
- a permit has been issued by the responsible authority for large events with more than 5,000 participants.
2G option model
Organisers and private operators have the option of only admitting people with a vaccination certificate or proof of recovery. Similarly, minors and persons who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons and who provide appropriate proof of this may also be admitted with proof of testing. Staff must also comply with the 2G rule. Substantial corona-related restrictions do not apply in this case: Spacing rules no longer apply, nor do the mask requirement and capacity restrictions. Children and adolescents without proof of vaccination or recovery require a PCR test when visiting dance halls, discotheques or clubs.
Meetings in private
If more than 25 people are gathering privately with friends, relatives, and acquaintances in their homes, it is strongly recommended that all persons test themselves beforehand unless they have been vaccinated or recovered and a spacing and hygiene concept in accordance with § 5 CoSchuV is adhered to.
Religious gatherings in churches, synagogues and mosques in addition to gatherings of other faith communities
Funeral ceremonies, funerals and religious gatherings are permitted irrespective of the number of persons if a spacing and hygiene concept in accordance with § 5 CoSchuV is in place and implemented.
